[Assorted information about Rose in Teleios. Useful for those wanting to work out if they would likely cross her path or to see if it sparks a plot, to learn about how being a shadow-kissed Dhampir not only effects her, but those around her.]

Notes: Rose is technically listed as living at the Salvatore Boarding House but since Lissa and Damon left, Rose has more or less moved out. She's dragged a mattress to the back of the Art Studio and uses that as a place to crash but she's hardly put down any roots.

Things of Note
The following are the abilities unique to Rose prior to arriving in Teleios. The differences that remain prior to favors being granted would be her Aura, her blood/scent, the animal issue and now that the bond has been restored; Her Sanity.
Aura: For those characters who might be able to see Aura's, Rose's is always ringed in black and will fluctuate when she's emotional. When her temper flares the shadows of her aura will all but black out the rest of it and it will ripple.
The Undead: Rose can sense anyone who is no longer living. This mainly relates to Vampires, anyone who does not have a pulse. She will feel a ripple of nausea that will warn her of the approach of an undead creature.
Animals: Don't like Dhampirs. It's a whole thing in canon where as a rule they try to avoid them, generally seem to dislike them. Arguably if you were to play a werewolf they might get that same sort of vibe from a Dhampir? It's never explained completely in canon so if this is something you want to play with, feel free to drop me a PM.
Super-Human Abilities: Rose is a Dhampir, which effectively means she is half human, half vampire. She has heightened senses and strength but is far from indestructible. She heals at the same rate as a human and can die like everyone else, her strength lies in being able to fight in close quarters and the sheer fact that she has been training from the time she could walk.
Weapons: Rose's weapon of choice is a silver stake, charmed with the four elements. In her world, this will burn the skin of a Vampire.
Susceptibility to Magic/Compulsion etc: Dhampir's are known for being harder to compel or spell than the average human but that doesn't make it impossible. A powerful wielder of magic will be able to do this and it's far easier if she goes into it willingly. Rose is able to resist however and will try if it's done unwillingly to her. It does not mean she will not be hit by it at all, it merely means she may be able to stop herself, especially in the case of charmed objects or any spells that try to take away her free will.
Her Blood: Rose would taste different to humans and in her canon, is even considered to be more potent than that of a regular person. Strigoi (Vampires who have been made, not born, those who follow the traditional lore of Vampires) prefer Dhampir's or Moroi to humans as they get strength from feeding on them. A Strigoi who has fed on Dhampir and Moroi is considered harder to kill, moreso a Moroi than a Dhampir.
Sanity: Being shadow-kissed makes Rose temperamental by nature. The penalty for being able to wield spirit, is that the user becomes unstable and can even go insane the more they use their magic. As somebody who is bonded to a spirit user, Rose leaches that madness away from them. This is why her Aura is ringed in shadows, it also makes her unpredictable at times. Healing charms can ward off the effects of Spirit but as long as she is bonded, she will continue to lash out, sometimes in dangerous ways.
Spirits/Ghosts: Being shadow-kissed means that Rose can see and communicate with those who have died, but not passed on to the next realm. Though there are some that may not mean her harm, many (in fact most) feel that Rose is a defiance of nature as she should in fact be dead, as such, these spirits will try and pull her over to the other side. Her bond is what anchors her to the mortal realm and though they may not be able to kill her, they can and do cause severe migraines that cause her to black out. Rose is able to mentally guard against them but over long periods of time, this is mentally draining and she is prone to slipping up. As such, magical wards are the best way to protect against the spirit world.
